Jeannette Diane Prody

Jan Prody passed away surrounded by loved ones at home on January 3rd, 2021. Jan started her life in Pleasantville Pa. on February 27th, 1939. Her parents, Helen and Richard Benedict, instilled in her core values that would lead to being a caring and wonderful person. A social butterfly, Jan enjoyed spending time alongside her husband, Thomas Prody, at Sertoma Club, volunteering, and traveling. Jan and Tom married on February 17th, 1968, and enjoyed 42 years together. Thomas proceeds her in death on January 3rd 2010. She is survived by three sisters: Susie Hunter (Jeff), Fran Smith (Bill), and Katie Gibbens (Harry). Her pride and joy always resided in her children and grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters, Krista Muddiman (Steve Yanacek), and Kelly Raszman and two sons Kirk Raszman and Kevin Raszman. As “Grams”, her five grandchildren: Jen King, Josh Raszman, Taylor Raszman, Kyle Raszman, and Noelle Raszman also survive her. Her many roles also include being a great grandmother, an aunt, and a cousin. She had a special bond with her cousin, Carol Marcos, who was a best friend, sister, and confidant to her throughout the years. She will also be survived by her very beloved cat, Tobey Jo and caring companion Lisa Malliard. Her spirit will be missed by all who knew her and her stories and quick wit shared for years to come. Funeral Arrangements are being handled by Ryan Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc, 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA 16335 and will be private.
