Jean Marie Grove, 95, of Guys Mills, passed away, on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Crawford County Care Center. She was born on June 4, 1917 in Meadville, the daughter of Louis and Anna Wirt Byham. On July 19, 1936 she married Jacob Andrew Grove, he preceded her in death. Jean was a graduate of Meadville Area High School. She was employed at American Viscose during WWII. Later she was a homemaker and employed at Mercer Spring & Wire where she retired from in 1978. She was a member at the New Richmond United Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Grove Hein and her husband Ronald of Duluth, MN; a son James Grove and his wife Valerie of Guys Mills; Four grandchildren, Bree Grove Lorio, Brandi Grove Oatis and her husband Keith, Robert Hayden, and Scott Hayden and his wife Ginger; six great-grandchildren, Kylee and Devon Lorio, Corrina and Carter Hayden, Finlay Jacob Oatis, and Drake Allen Oatis; Numerous nieces, nephews, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four sisters, Ruth Weaver of Meadville, Helen Gow of Goodyear, Arizona, Vivian Byham of Meadville, and Dorothy of Palm Springs, CA; three brothers, Charles, Kenneth, and Carl Byham all of Meadville. Family and friends are welcome to call on Sunday, April 21, 2013 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA. Funeral Service will be on Monday, April 22, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Sarah Roncolato of Stone United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will take place at Greendale Cemetery, Meadville, PA. In memory of Jean, the family would like memorials to be made to New Richmond United Methodist Church, 29776 St. Hwy 77, Guts Mills, PA 16327 or Blooming Valley Volunteer Fire Dept., Mill Street, Saegertown, PA 16433.
