Jason C. Beers, Sr., 48, of Polk, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Sunday, January 3, 2021. Born September 4, 1972 in Franklin, he was the son of Raymond E. Later in life, Jason shared his love of sports with his sons and was proud of them for their achievements. When there wasn't a game, he and his sons spent their time going on hunting or fishing trips. Jason also had an extensive love for music and enjoyed going to concerts. His most cherished memories, however, will be the times spent with his family and with his two favorite dogs, Lilly and Sassy, who followed him everywhere. In addition to his father, Jason will be forever remembered by Julie Beers and their two children, Jason C. Beers, Jr. and Ethan Beers, all of Garland, PA; his brother, Michael Beers and his wife, Jenn, of Pittsburgh; his three sisters, Erica Alcorn and her husband, Eddy, of Barkeyville, Shannon Faulk and her husband, Louis, of Ingram, and Yvonne Cutchall of Pittsburgh; his numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his many loving great-nieces and great-nephews.Jason was preceded in death by his mother, Darlene D. Started at Polk Center together, been good friends ever since. Still remember the Pink Floyd concert we went to in the mid nineties. RIP Jason. I’ll burn one for you.
My dad called me yesterday and told me of Jason’s passing. I immediately pictured him on the Franklin Knights football field pouring his heart out! I used to be Jason Beers in my backyard playing Oil City for the Championship! He played so hard and with such passion! That’s who I wanted to be when I got in highschool. He was always so kind to me eventhough I was always in the way at practices. He left an impression on me that I never forgot, and I’m positive he left similar impressions on many! God Bless everyone in his family!
So sorry to hear that you have lost your beloved son. Prayers of comfort for your family.
Jason was one of the first kids I met upon moving to Franklin as a kindergartner in 1980. Our fathers coached football together at FHS, and they brought each of us to practice….everyday. I spent MANY hours with Jason setting up the bags, filling water bottles, wrestling in the equipment room (he kicked my ass), and racing through the cones on the field (I kicked his ass). He was mischievous, but genuine. I always looked forward to the beginning of the season and double sessions because I got to hang out with Jason. His excitability as a kid followed him onto the football field as a teenager. Jason played with enthusiasm, always went hard, and wasn’t afraid to empty the bucket. I haven’t spoken w him in a long time, but he was one of my favorite teammates through the years. Rest In Peace Jason…
Gone way too soon. My condolences to the entire family. Have known jason since our very early teens. He was a great all around person. Always well liked. Have a lot of great, fun memories. Remember watching him play football in highschool. When he went over the edge at high banks right in front of me, one trout camp weekend. Flipping my dirt bike over onto himself. And all the many times out 4 wheelin, and getting stuck in the old jeeps. They will never be forgotten my friend. R.I.P.

Jason will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. I extend my sincere condolences to the entire family. I have incredible memories of our times together as members of the Franklin football team. We also shared great memories off of the gridiron. Great friend and great person who always keep a smile. My prayers for the entire family in this time of sadness.
Ray, sorry to hear about the passing of your son. I never met him, but In reading the memories about him he sounds a lot like I remembered you in your youth. Don Walters
Jason was so kind to me and always spoke so politely and encouraged me with his words. My heart is saddened and I grieve for the Beers family. The Beers family has been a Blessing to the Walters family that goes way back! Coach Walters
I didn’t know Jason but his father and I go back to 2nd grade thru 12th. I feel for Ray’s loss along with Jason’s family. May God rest Jason’s soul.
We grew up a few houses away from each other, and I was left in charge of “babysitting” both Erica and you during the Summer Months. 🙂 Does not seem possible that you are gone! Way too young! I am so so sorry for all of the Family and Friends he has! 🙁 ????
I remember Jason as being a kind and polite young man. It saddens me that he passed so young. May the Lord bless him in Heaven. -Shelly Walters
