My most sincere condolences and prayers for comfort and peace at this time.
James L. Sutton Jr. (Jamie), 54, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and son, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 10, 2025.
Born on May 4, 1971, in Titusville, Pennsylvania, to James L. Sutton Sr. and Sandra L. (Zahner) Burt, Jamie grew up in Titusville and attended Titusville High School.
Jamie spent most of his life as a logger, a profession that reflected his love of the outdoors. He was known for his quick wit, his signature smirk, and the way he could light up a conversation without trying. Jamie had a deep love for trout fishing-especially the challenge of catching native brook or brown trout. He was also an avid history enthusiast, often found watching the History Channel or sharing fascinating facts when the moment struck.
Above all, Jamie loved his family. He cherished his children, creating special memories with each of them that will be held close forever. He also treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren, whose laughter always brought him joy.
Jamie is survived by his parents, James L. Sutton Sr. and Sandra L. (Zahner) Burt; his children, Kayla Spring (William), James Sutton III, Gage Sutton (Clarice), and Abigail Sampsell; his siblings, Kirk Sutton and Melissa Tomcho (Anthony); and his many grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor Jamie’s memory. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in his name to a charity of your choice.
