James L. Reisinger James (Pemp) L. Reisinger, 71, of Buffalo Street, Franklin, passed away at 8:08 a.m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at UPMC Northwest in Seneca. James was born December 4, 1939, in Oil City, and was the son of the late William F. Sr. and Martha Coburn-Kaster Reisinger. He was married to the former Annabelle Kay on February 5, 1965 and she survives. He was retired from Polk Center where he was a custodian for 30 years. Pemp was a member of the Franklin and Oil City V.F.W.'s, the Franklin Eagles, and the Oil City PNA. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing, playing horseshoes and Texas Hold'em and was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler's and North Carolina Tarheel's fan. Pemp loved life and was always on center stage among his friends and family. He was a hard-working man with a big heart, and was always eager to assist with a helping hand. In addition to his wife, Pemp is survived by his son, James (Jimmy) Reisinger, Jr., and his wife, Toni, of Oil City; and his two daughters, Lori Dechant and her husband, Fabian, and Rhonda Exley and her husband, Brent, all of Oil City. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren, Destiny Asche and her husband, Aaron, of Oil City, Aurora Dechant of Oil City, John Reisinger and Brandon Reisinger, of Franklin, Cody Exley of Oil City, Gary Glass Jr. and Breanne Glass of Venus, and Megan Mohnkern and Mike Mohnkern of Oil City. He is additionally survived by his brother, Charles Reisinger and his wife, Fern, of West Hartford, Connecticut; and his sister, Janet Miller, of Seneca. Pemp was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, William F. Reisinger and Louis Reisinger; a sister, Winifred Reisinger; and an infant brother. Family and Friends of Pemp will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, on Friday, December 31, 2010 from 2 to 5 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 5 p.m. following visitation with Deacon Walter Jones, Chaplain at UPMC Northwest, officiating. Interment will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery. The Family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society - P.O. Box 896, Hershey PA 17033-0896 and/or The Kirtland Cancer Foundation - P.O. Box 108, Franklin PA 16323.
