James J. Caldwell

James J. Caldwell, 85, of Washington, North Caroline and formerly of Meadville, passed away, Wednesday, December 19, 2012. He was born March 29, 1927 in Franklin, Pennsylvania a son of Henry Caldwell and Mary Jewel. He married Sabine L. Sweikowski, she preceded him in death. He was a World War II US Army Veteran and was employed as a welder with General American Transportation. James is survived by two daughters, Janae Voisard and Karen Kohler both of North Carolina; a son, Steven Caldwell of Franklin, Pennsylvania; eight grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, James was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Nellie Mattern. There will be no calling hours or services. Entombment will take place in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Vernon Township.
