Jacqueline “Jackie” A. Skarzenski, 72, of Union City, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025, at UPMC Hamot. Born on December 12, 1953, in Erie, PA, Jackie was known for her warm heart and selfless spirit.

Jackie graduated from East High School in Erie and dedicated an impressive 45 years of her life to MFG of Union City. She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Suzanne Higley, and poured her love into caring for Suzanne, who has special needs. Jackie had a passion for gardening and was often seen feeding all the neighborhood cats, proving her kind nature extended to all creatures.

She is survived by her daughter Suzanne, her sister Diane Higley, her brother Jerry Mathers and his wife Michelle, sister-in-law Roseann Dominguez, and sister-in-law Mary White, along with countless nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews, and several great-great nieces and nephews.

Jackie has been reunited in peace with her parents, Anthony and Jacqueline Skarzenski, as well as her brother Walter, her lifelong companion David Higley, a son, Anthony David Higley, and her sister Linda Kosnik.

Friends and family are invited to gather for a graveside service to celebrate Jackie’s life on Sunday, December 21st, at 12:00 pm at Loomis Cemetery in Bloomfield Township.
