Howard R. Harvey, 89, of Franklin, passed away on Sunday, September 13th at his home. Born March 9, 1926, Howard was the son of the late Howard F. and Crystal A. Perrine Harvey. Howard married the late Phyllis C. Smith, who preceded him in death in 2008. Howard was an avid hunter in his spare time and also enjoyed bowling, being a Boy Scouts leader, a race car flagman, an umpire, and a wonderful father and grandfather to his family members.Howard is survived in death by his sons; Ron Harvey, and his wife, Sally, of Palmer, AK; Richard Harvey, and his wife, Paulette, of Harrisville; and David Harvey, and his fiancee, Suzette Smith, of Adel, GA. He is additionally survived by his two sisters; Lorraine Shuffstall and Betty Jack, both of Burelson, TX.Howard is additionally survived by his 12 grandchildren; Leah Jones, Ryan Harvey, Maurice Taylor, Marissa Panzer, Courtney Hamilton, Joel Harvey, Alisha Shloeter, Lauren Elder, Rachel Harvey, Courtney Harvey, Eric Sistek, and Ashley Harvey; and his six great-grandchildren.No visitation will be held, per the family's wishes. Interment will be held at Franklin Cemetery.
