Howard E. Phelps, 90 of Union City, passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 14, 2025 at Saint Vincent Hospital following a brief illness. He was born on June 14, 1934 a son of Farl and Rhoda Phelps.
He was employed with the Pennsylvania Fish Commission in Union City.
Howard married the love of his life, Judith Fisk and they had five children: Kathy Stepnowski of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Debra (Richard) Finney of Waterford, Nancy (Mark) Hammond of Corry, David (April) Phelps of Erie, and Adam (Karl Gressley) Phelps of Boise, Idaho. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Richard and Everett (Sonny) Phelps, daughter’s Debra Finney and Nancy Hammond, and grandson Ryan Finney.
His greatest joy was spending time with his family. He enjoyed woodworking, golfing, and talking with everyone he would see when out and about.
No services will be held at this time and burial will take place at a later date.
