Henry Philip Byham, cherished son and beloved little brother, passed away on July 31, 2025, at Akron Children’s Hospital after a brave battle with brain cancer. He was born on October 6, 2022, in Meadville, Pennsylvania, to his devoted parents, Sean M. Byham and Carole L. Bracken Byham.

Henry brought joy and laughter to all who knew him. He loved music, playing peek-a-boo, and sharing giggles over “stinky feet.” His gentle spirit and cheerful disposition made him a great patient, enduring his challenges with remarkable strength and grace.

Henry leaves behind his loving parents, Sean and Carole, and his three adoring siblings, Anna, Micah, and Lucy, all of whom will cherish his memory. He is also survived by his paternal grandparents, Russ and Ellen Byham of Saegertown, and maternal grandparents, Mark and Sherry Bracken of Tennessee. His extended family includes uncles and aunts Charlie (Jenna) Bracken, Patrick (Lena) Byham, Brendan (Rhetta) Byham, Caitlin Byham, Aidan Byham, and Sheena Byham, along with cousins Levi, Natalie, Isaac, Zipporah, and Benaiah. He held a special place in the hearts of his great grandparents, Maryann Byham of Meadville, Philip and Annie Bracken of Saegertown, Richard and Evelyn Allen of Florida, and Lynne Senkarik of Florida. He was preceded in death by his great grandfather, Jack Byham, in 2024.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Friday, August 8, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church, located at 543 Randolph Street, Meadville. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 1:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Tim Jordan. Following the service, Henry will be laid to rest by his family at Greendale Cemetery.

Guestbook

  1. No life, no matter how small, or how short the duration, is without significance in God’s great plan of love toward all the people of Earth. How greatly he has used this short but full life of Henry to bless so many people! May we all be blessed to know the love of God that was displayed in the enduring devotion that Sean and Carole demonstrated for all of us as they fought so valiantly on behalf of such a small life! And yet, it was a very large life! Thank you, Sean & Carole, for taking time and effort in your own pain to let us share in that life and in that love. May God grant you the blessing to understand all of the whys, and to know more and more fully his great love for us all and the great honor he granted in bringing Henry into this Earth for the short time that he was here!

“There is a connection between heaven and earth. Finding that connection gives meaning to everything, including death. Losing that connection makes everything lose meaning, including life.”
