Dear Diane, Shawn, Ryan and family,
I saw this sad news in the online Derrick and wished to express my sympathy to you and your family upon Aunt Helen’s passing. She was very helpful to my father in taking care of David and I when we were very young and my mother was very sick and hospitalized with her injured back in Pittsburgh. Aunt Helen kept us many weekends and days. I remember Aunt Helen as a dedicated, hard worker at the Venango Manor, and as a beautiful organist at the church. She was a kind soul, – funny, and always had a joke to tell my Dad. She was a committed servant to her Lord and I remember her being very proud of you and Jeff. She always looked forward to dressing you for prom and college dances, as I was very young while you and Charles were much older. I remember those gorgeous dresses, and hoped some day I could have one. May your many memories sustain your strength, as you provide your family the same strength she gave you. Thank you for allowing me to share my memories of Aunt Helen with you. My sympathy to you and your entire family. May she have eternal peace.
Suzanne Flinchbaugh Himebaugh and family
The family has my sympathy. I believe I remember Helen and Paul coming down to my grandparents in Shippenville. I just read of her passing on the internet. My grandparents were Harry and Gus Leasure.
