Helen Frances Lindsley Coe, 87, of Union City, passed away, Thursday, April 19, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 26, 1930 in Union City a daughter of Herbert Lindsley and Frances Blakeslee Lindsley. She married William R. Coe on August 27, 1949 whom she met at the Old Palace Theater in Union City.
Helen owned and operated out of her home Helen Coe Beauty Salon for 31 years.
She enjoyed camping and traveling to visit family with her husband, Bill. They cruised to Alaska twice, as well as the Bahamas, and Panama Canal. She also enjoyed reading, bicycling, and cross country skiing.
Helen is survived by her devoted husband of 68 years, Bill of Union City; four children, William Coe and his wife Karen of Union City, Connie Bumgarner and her husband James of Monroe, NC, Cindy Shaw and her husband Scot of Riverton, WY, and Martin Coe and his wife Shawnna of Lake City; a brother, Paul Lindsley of Erie; sisters, Barbara Trantham of Augsta, GA, Marge Hawley of Union City, June Wojtecki of Corry, and Mary Kimmy of Union City; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Victor Lindsley; three sisters, Ida Burton, Martha Proper, and Peg Barton.
There will be no services held at this time.
