Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Pap is sure was an honor knowing you through the years and enjoying breakfast with you on the first day of buck season for several years. You and Your family have been so great to us taking us in like part of your family. You will be missed more than any word could ever explain. Shirley, Loretta, Darlene, Alan, Frank and the rest of the family thank you for being so good to us and our hearts are all hurting for you all of you. Manu hugs and much love to you all.

    • To the Heller family I am so sorry for your loss. Mr Heller was an amazing man, he always took the time to say hi and chit chat with me. He will be deeply missed. Hugs to you all

  2. It was always nice to see Harold (and thr rest of the family) at the Gerwick reunions and we remember how he brought his popcorn and snow cone machines to share with everyone. He will be missed.

  3. We have wonderful memories of working at the Burger, corral and S&H pizza. Thinking of you during this tough time.

  4. I have very fond memories growing up around Dad Heller with my BFF Darlene. What a wonderful great man in my life to look up to. He was always making everyone smile, laugh and have fun. He was even My first boss at S&H Pizza. My heart goes out to all the family. 🫂🙏🏻❤️

  5. I have a lot of good memories of Dewayne and Shirley often including their families and friends. Dewayne had a great sense of humor and also had the gift of gab with everyone. I felt he enjoyed visiting everyone and everyone enjoyed visiting with him. May God bless them all at this trying time.

  6. My sincere condolences to Shirley, Loretta and the whole family. I wanted to share a memory of Harold. I was very young and was at their house with Loretta. Shirley was making dinner and I asked if i could help. She put me in charge of the gravy. I didn’t know how to do it and she was giving me instructions but the gravy was very lumpy. Harold made a comment about it then laughed. He reminded me for years and that I needed to let Shirley do the gravy. He had great humor! Suzi Shevitz ❤️

  7. Always had a good time playing putt putt golf and having pizza. Thanks for making my childhood great you will be missed.

  8. Dewayne (and Shirley) gave me my first real job at S&H Pizza. It was like working for a second set of parents, and I will never forget the many kindnesses shown to me in my years there. Dewayne had a quick wit and a wicked sense of humor – he always had us laughing whenever he was in the house. In the community, he was a man of compassion, nurture, and family – a great example for anyone who knew or mingled with him. May he now rest in the loving arms of our Father, richly rewarded for all of the goodness he brought to so many lives.

  9. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the family. Sending my love and hugs to you for comfort in the days ahead.

  10. We would like to express our deepest sympathy for the loss of your beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He was a wonderful person… hard-working, friendly, kind, and caring. I always enjoyed talking with him at S & H Pizza, at ball games, or at other area events. He worked hard to make our community a better place, and his efforts will never be forgotten. However, more than anything, he loved and adored his family. Although his passing will leave a void in your lives that will never be filled, we hope your happy memories will bring you a small measure of comfort and peace. Our thoughts and prayers are with you now and in the difficult days that lie ahead…
    Keith and Rosalyn (Walker) Miller

  13. Thought and prayers for the Heller family. I loved when he would referee our basketball games. He was always fair. I fondly remember the nights at S&H pizza. Rip Mr Heller. 🙏

  14. My condolences to the family. I always thought very highly of Harold. He would T me up in basketball and make a pizza at S and H afterward and we would have a good laugh. S and H was a part of every Rocky Grover’s life because of Harold and his family. May he rest in peace.

  17. Shirley and Family, I was not able to make the services for Dee-Dee. I just want you to know what a true blessing it has been to know him for these many years. When they say one in a million, that was surely a title he deserved. Rest in Peace my dear Friend!!! Mike Quinn

  18. My deepest sympathies to the Heller family. Knowing Dewayne for many years was an honor and a privilege. He was a friend, colleague and a mentor to me and many others.
