Harold Beers, 83, of Franklin, passed away at his residence on April 6th, 2018.Born on December 25, 1934 in Franklin, he was the son of the late Walter and Mary (Hoffman) Beers.Harold was a tool maker at Joy Manufacturing, retiring in 1996 after 43 years.On November 11, 1955, he married Virginia L. Pfendsack.He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Franklin. Mr. Beers was a well known organist at many local establishments. Harold enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Virginia Beers of Franklin; his daughter, Shelley Readel of Erie; his sons, Mark Beers and his wife, Val Jean, Beers of Franklin, and Gary Beers of Meadville, his grandson, David Beers; his step-grandson, Lynn Campbell and his 5 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his sister Lois Lindsey and her husband, Lewis, of Franklin.In addition to his parents, Mr. Beers was preceded in death by his brothers, Walter and Eugene Beers and his sisters, Marion Blair and Beatrice Beers.Visitation for Harold will be held at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Reverend Barry Jenkins, Pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Franklin, officiating.
