Hannchen Gerda Volk

MEADVILLE - Hannchen G. Volk, 96 of Meadville, passed away, Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Juniper Village Senior Living at Meadville. She was born on May 30, 1920, in Berlin Germany. She was a daughter of the late Georg and Gerda Ziemer Hofmann. She met her husband John G. Volk during his time of service in World War II. Hannchen enjoyed needle work, sewing, making clothes and knitting. She worked as a secretary for a plastics company in Philadelphia for many years. Survivors include her daughter, Margaret-Ann Peer of Townville, PA; three grandchildren, John Paul Peer, Heather Ann Davis and Holly Irene Beers and five great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Hannchen was preceded in death by her husband John Volk and her sister Gerda Donath. Services will be private for the family and have been entrusted in the care of the Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 33353 N. Main Street, Townville, PA 16360. Burial will take place at Antrim Cemetery in Antrim, PA.
