Gloria Jean Varish Belfiore, 76, of Wilkins Road, Union City, passed away, Monday, August 10, 2020 after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. She was born on May 21, 1944 in Meadville a daughter of Joseph and Betty L. Pringle Varish. She attended Bloomfield School and graduated from Union City High School in 1962. Gloria had a fondness for Guernsey Cows and showed them across the state. She was also on the first female members on FFA (Future Farmers of America) as well as had an interest in playing the accordion. In addition to her labor of love to farming, she was an avid and accomplished gardener. Her knowledge and experience of gardening will be a legacy to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren as she ensured we all spent some time there with her through the years. She took great pride in showing off her garden and sharing it with others who would visit. Gloria was an extremely hardworking woman all her life dedicated to the land and her family. She was a beautiful, loving, and giving mother, daughter, and sister who will be missed deeply by her family and many friends. She is survived by eight loving children, Jaqueline of Cambridge Springs, Jeffrey (Teresa) of Shelocta, PA, Michael of Meadville, Douglas (Carla) of Minot, ND, Wilson Jr., Timothy (Kathy), Pamela (Kenny) all of Union City, and Kimberly (David) of Townville; one sister, Patrica (Robert) Keister of Centerville; three brothers, Joseph of Union City, John (Julia) of Utica, and Edward (Cathy) of Pittsburgh; fifteen grandchildren, Kayla, Stephanie, Samantha, Cortney, Nicole, Shana, Brianna, Alana, Arienna, Kenny III, Virginia, Brenda, Joey, Alexandra, and Mathew; four great grandchildren, Cannon, Adelyn, Rylie, and Tobiah; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; and a beloved sister, Judy Ann Varish Ramos. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions and for the safety of others services will be private. There will be a Celebration of Life open to the public at a later date. Burial will take place in Loomis Cemetery, Bloomfield Township.
