Glenn B. Hetzler, 85, of Polk, passed away on the morning of Tuesday, October 9, 2018.He was born on April 8, 1933, in Pittsville, Pennsylvania to parents Clarence and Genevieve (Hart) Hetzler.After graduating high school in Emlenton, Pennsylvania, Glenn enlisted in the United States Navy where he proudly served his county as a 1st Class Petty Officer. After serving for 4 years, he was then honorably discharged.Not long after returning home, Glenn married his sweetheart, Irene Van Cise, on June 16, 1956 and she survives him.He was employed with Joy Manufacturing for 40 years until his retirement and also enjoyed fixing lawn mowers for others in his spare time. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and reading. Glenn and his wife, Irene, enjoyed many years of camping at Clear Creek with their family, grandchildren, and close family friends. Glenn will be fondly remembered for his love of family, community, and Jesus Christ.In addition to his wife, Glenn is survived by his son, Jerry Hetzler of PA; his daughter, Nancy Letonek and her husband, Marshall, of PA; his grandchildren, Angie Oberman and her husband, Matthew, of Alaska, Regina Letonek of Alaska, Ryan Hetzler of PA, Trisha Martin and her husband, John, of Alaska, Tiea Whittler and her husband, Bryan, of PA, and Jonathan Letonek of Arizona; and his 5 great-grandchildren.Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; his two brothers, John C. Hetzler and Robert B. Hetzler; and his two sisters, Kathryn L. Campbell and Judy M. Borland.Upon the family's request, visitation and funeral services were private.Interment was held in Rockland Cemetery.
