It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of George H. Nirmaier JR, 70, of Townville PA, on Wednesday August 6, 2025, after a courageous battle of cancer with his family by his side. George was born on March 26, 1955, in Cleveland Ohio to the late George H. Nirmaier, Sr and Dorothy J. Nirmaier. He was a proud graduate of Union City High School, class of 1974.
George dedicated his life to his family and the great outdoors, hunting and fishing was his favorite hobby that he instilled in each of his children and will continue to be passed down to generations. He was a true dedicated family man who enjoyed helping his beloved wife (Kim) take care of the animals, and he loved nothing more than his adventures on his golf cart with a cold Yuengling. He also enjoyed having weekend cookouts/ bonfires surrounded by his family at the Nirmaier family pond.
Prior to his recent retirement, he was employed as a dedicated General Forman at Davey tree service for several years, taking great pride in the tree industry.
Along with his father and mother, he is proceeded in death by his brother Darryl Nirmaier and sister Marsha Rickie, All of whom greeted him with open arms at the gates of heaven.
He is survived by his loving wife Kim Nirmaier (Doolittle) of 34 years; his children, Abby Nirmaier (Dave), Jordan Nirmaier (Melissa), Tanner Nirmaier(Lacy), and Sydney Nirmaier (Nick), his 8 Grandchildren, Eva, Noah, Brynley, Alena , Bryden, Cooper, Kaysen, and Hudson. Â Also surviving are his siblings, Cathy Downing, Ron (Cheryl) Nirmaier, Michael (Tracy) Nirmaier, Gary (Sheila) Nirmaier, Gloria (John) Schweitzer, and William (Jackie) Nirmaier, along with several nieces and nephews.
We are asking Family and Friends to gather with us for a sermon and celebration of George’s life on Saturday August 30, 2025, at 4 pm at the Nirmaier family pond at 33216 Athens Road, Centerville PA, 16404 in honor of his memory.

George was the most wonderful neighbor and friend to us. He will be sadly missed stopping by on his golf cart or side by side to say hello and have a visit on our front porch. He was dearly loved by our whole family.
Dad loved to do that with you guys an he still will just not physically, he’s still here with us 🫶

Dear Kim and children, So sorry to hear of George’s passing. Always enjoyed seeing him in my office and we had some great conversations not to mention all the patients he sent me for physicals. He was a great guy whom will be missed by many. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
