Frederick E. Shaulis, 72, of 1120 Market Street, Meadville, passed away, Sunday, August 7, 2011, at Meadville Medical Center. He was born January 9, 1939 in Mineral Ridge, Ohio a son of Clyde Shaulis and Florence Shank Shaulis. He married Bonnie L. Comber on June 18, 1966, she survives.
Frederick worked at the former Mason's and retired from AMCAST after 23 years.
He was a US ARMY veteran and a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
He enjoyed helping people in anyway he could and going to activities and meals at Active Aging, Inc.
Survivors including his wife, Bonnie of 45 years; two sons, Rick E. Shaulis and his wife Diana of Washington, PA and Terry D. Shaulis and his wife Amy of Meadville; six grandchildren, Cody, Ashliegh, Kelsey, Stephanie, Cameron, and Cole; four great-grandchildren, Lyndon, Taylor, Makenzie, and Kiley; one sister; Margaret Mattocks and her husband David of Elizabethtown, PA; and one brother; William Shaulis and his wife Frances of Edinboro, PA.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister; Ruth Shaulis.
Calling Hours will be Wednesday, August 10, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville. A memorial service will follow at 5:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Phillip Torre of First Assembly of God, officiating. Following the service, American Legion Post # 615 will perform an American Flag Presentation Ceremony.
