Fred W. "Bill" Lepley, Sr., 80, of Franklin, passed away on Saturday, October 17th at 3:45 a.m. at his home. Born December 24th, 1934 in Franklin, Fred was the son of the late Fred R. and Velma L. Caldwell Lepley. On October 4, 1958, Fred married Phyllis J. Shull, who preceded him in death on January 11, 2010.Fred was a WWII era veteran of the Army 5th Infantry. He worked as a laborer at Bear's Furniture for 47 years. He also enjoyed the company of his son's black lab, Clyde.Fred is survived by his son, Fred W. Lepley, Jr., and his wife, Jacqueline, of Franklin; his son, Gary Lepley, and his wife, April Ann, of Franklin; his sister, Shirley Deeter and her husband, Richard, of Hydetown; his sister, Norma Finch and her husband, Gary, of Franklin; and his sister, Darlene Nelson and her companion, Tim, of Corsica. He is additionally survived by his grandchildren, Kayla Nicole Lepley of Greenville, Travis Michael Lepley, and Jordan Matthew Lepley both of Franklin.In addition to his parents and wife, Fred was preceded in death by his three brothers, Boyd Lepley, Paul Lepley, and Robert Lepley.Family and friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin on Tuesday, October 20th from 2:00 p..m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:0o p.m. to 9:00 p.m.Funeral services will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday, October 21st at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Randy Kightlinger, the Venango County VNA Hospice Chaplain, officiating. Interment will be held at Bethel Cemetery in Franklin.The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Duke Fest at 1218 Elk Street, Franklin, PA 16323-13131 ; The Venango County Humane Society at 286 S.
