Guestbook

  1. My mother, Janice Heller Veverka, worked with Foster at the jail many years ago. He was a great friend and coworker. He will be missed and remembered by many.

  2. I am so sorry to see this! He was a great friend to me for a long time! He was one of the first people befriend me when I started to work for Venango County in the early 90’s. He was kind, and always made me laugh. I am so happy that I got to see him when I was last in Franklin. Rest is Peace Foster and be waiting at the gate to make me laugh!

  3. Thoughts and Prayers to the Family, I worked with Foster when I was at the Sheriff’s Office. Foster always had a smile on his face, could get anybody to laugh and had a big stoggy on him. The World will be a lesser place without him.

  4. So sad to hear of Foster’s passing. I had the privilege of knowing him when I worked for the District Court (81-85). He was such a friendly guy and always had a smile. RIP my friend. You will surely be missed.

  5. Pat…may family & friends comfort you in this time of sorrow. Foster was a great guy that could always make you laugh.

  6. I had the unique pleasure of working with and for Foster for many years. He was a strict, stern deputy who was a stickler for rules, etiquette, and appearance. As a friend, he was a warm hearted, true friend who constantly laid those stinky, slimy cigars on the edge of my desk while trying to explain something to me. My thoughts and sympathies to Patty & Diana and their families during the coming days and he will be greatly missed by many, many employees of the County of Venango. RIP in friend.

  7. Foster you were a great person. You always had a smile on your face and always greeted everyone as a close friend. Kicking up our heels in school and study hall. You sure could put our English teacher on her toes. Raise cane now. Your with a lot of your family n friends. You will be missed.

    Our deepest condolences to the family. Peace be with you. Our love and prayers are with you.

  9. Foster was a great man. I had the good fortune to work with him when I worked for Venango County. While we dealt with some challenging issues at times, Foster was as fair a person as one could ever hope to meet, and the last person you’d ever want to cross. He led by example, and many learned from him. Working with him was one of my fondest memories of my time employed with the county.

  10. What a sad day it is when we loose a person with such love and compassion for others! I had the privilege of knowing this man for many years. In many difficult times of despear, this man had nothing but words of confidence and encouragement. He helped me through some very hard times. Thank you Foster! may god take your hand and guide you to peace everlasting.

  13. Picture this;
    Foster has just finished making his lunch (one of his famous Dagwood sandwiches), Stevie Wonder (clap your hands just a little bit louder) is playing in the background. In walks Pat, Diane and Julie. We begin to play right beside the table where Foster is trying to eat, he tells us to play someplace else! Bingo!!! We have his attention! He gets up to chase us away and forgets his sandwich…….the dog takes advantage of the situation, he loves Foster’s Dagwood sandwich! ??????

    Wish miss you Foster

  17. Dianna and Patty, I am very sad to know that I lost such a good friend. The grumpy, gruff exterior was real but behind it was a very funny, smart and interesting person. I truly enjoyed his company and our talks about books, food, cars and culture.
