Born in: Oil City, Pennsylvannia

Eric Glenn Farren, 45, passed away peacefully Sunday February 20, 2022, and was comforted by his wife and mother. Born February 28, 1976 in Oil City, Eric spent his formative years in Saegertown before moving to Scotland School for Veterans Children in Scotland, PA. He later moved to Louisville, KY and remained in the region for many years before returning to Saegertown in 2017. Eric enjoyed country and rock music and was thrilled to attend his first concert: Jason Aldean. A country boy, through and through, Eric enjoyed doing anything with his hands. From hunting and fishing, to building, to snow ball fights, he was merciless. He drove semi-tractor trailers for several years and taught his children how to steer from his lap. Eric loved to have fun and the more dangerous it was, the better. Eric was preceded in death by his step-father, Richard G. Flick; step-father, Thomas G. Reese, Sr.; son, Tyler Marshall; two nieces; two aunts; an uncle; and three grandparents. He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Shannon (Atkins) Farren, of Saegertown; mother, Cindy (Farren) Reese, of Saegertown; maternal grandmother, Delores Sloop, of Cochranton; son, Brandon Farren, of New Haven, KY; daughters, Maddie Farren, of Louisville, KY and Callie Farren, of Saegertown; step-daughter, Autumn Atkins, of Saegertown; two grandsons, Braxton and Mason Marshall, of Louisville, KY; sister, Melissa Albaugh, of Aurora, CO; niece, Coreena Albaugh, of Aurora, CO; uncle, Timothy Farren, of Marienville; and three cousins. Eric will be sorely missed by everyone who knew his generosity; exemplified through his recognition as an Organ Donor in Spirit. Services will be private and in coordination with Eric’s family. Arrangements are in the care of Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville.
