SAEGERTOWN ��” Elizabeth C. Parsell, 92, of 13025 Harmonsburg Road, Conneaut Lake, passed away Monday, Aug. 16, 2010, in Saegertown, at the home of her daughter, Beverly (Daniel) Acker. Elizabeth was born Feb. 24, 1918, in Meadville, a daughter of the late Albert and Agnes Cronin. She married Frederick T. (Ted) Parsell on Dec. 27, 1941; he preceded her in death in April of 1990. She attended Meadville High School. She was a homemaker most of her life, although she worked at Talon, Viscose and Weldons. Elizabeth loved spending time with her family and playing cards. She played in the same 500 club for 50-plus years. She also loved to go on gambling trips, play bingo and any other type of cards. She is survived by a son, Brian T. Parsell and his wife, Joyce, of Akron, Ohio; two daughters, Karen L. Shelatz of Harmonsburg and Beverly A. Acker and her husband, Daniel, of Saegertown, where she resided for a year-and-a-half until her death. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Scott Parsell and his wife, Katie, Nancy Brown and her husband, Brad, Rodney and Jody Henry, Tad Acker, Daniel Acker Jr. and Shannon Acker; seven great-grandchildren, Zackary Johnson, Emily Johnson, Alivia Kocan, Joshua Kocan, Christopher Acker, Abby Brown and Lily Brown; two sisters, Florence Petrillo and Genevieve Guay, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert Cronin and Charles Cronin; two sisters, Margaret Curry and Ruth Hanks; and a great-granddaughter, Elizabeth A. Johnson. Family and friends may call today from 6 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Roofner-Collins Funeral Home, 544 Chestnut St., Meadville. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Mark Debaise of Tionesta, presiding. Interment will be at the Roger-Acker Cemetery, Saegertown.
