Eleanor J. Docter, 91, of Centerville, passed away, Monday, January 29, 2024 at Edinboro Manor. She was born on July 8, 1932 in Townville, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Lymon Fitch and Jessie Rodgers Fitch. She married Glenn Edwards who preceded her in death. She subsequently married William Docter who also preceded her in death. She was employed at the Riverside Inn in Cambridge Springs and in her free time she enjoyed baking, crocheting, flower gardening, and time with her dogs and family. She is survived by three daughters, Lois Howell and her husband Carl of Georgia, Marie Swisshelm and her companion Dennis of Centerville, Darlene Lake and her husband Lee of Guys Mills; four sons, Grant Edwards and his wife Brenda of Meadville, Art Edwards of Townville, Glenn Edwards and his companion Lisa Newberry of Centerville, Terry Edwards and his wife Robin of Centerville; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husbands; she was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Aaron Wilson; a brother, Robert Smith; and four sisters, Dorothy Caldwell, Naomi Rodgers, Ruth Drake, and Bessie Heath. Family and friends are welcome to call on Saturday, February 3rd from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 33353 N. Main Street, Townville. The funeral service will follow at 2:00pm with Pastor Gary M. Wade, officiating. Private burial will take place at East Troy Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Eleanor's memory to the Crawford County Humane Society, 11012 Kennedy Hill Road, Meadville, Pennsylvania 16335 or Edinboro Manor, 412 Water Street, Edinboro, Pennsylvania 16412.
