Eleanor E. Young

Eleanor E. Bennett Young, 79, of Union City, passed away, on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Edinboro Manor. She was born on January 30, 1939 in Kerrmoor, PA, a daughter of Presley Strunk and Carolyn DeHaas Strunk. She was married to Charles J. Bennett, he preceded her in death in 2003 and subsequently married, Richard Young, who preceded her in death in 2015. She was a nurse at the former Union City Hospital and a member of the Union City Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. Eleanor is survived by her children, David C. Bennett and his wife, Jodi of Mars, PA, Jeffrey L. Bennett of Mount Laurel, NJ and Tracey L. Brown of Union City; grandchildren, Ryley Moneta, Avery Bennett, Aleksandria Bennett, Daniel Bennett, Leah Bennett, Elizabeth Pier and Caitlin Pier; and 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 5 step children; Robin Young, Dee Dee Farr and her husband William, Becky Mead and her husband Brian, Daniel Young and his wife Roxanne, and Steven Young and his wife Michelle. Also, 12 step grandchildren and many step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Presley and Carolyn Strunk; her husbands, Charles Bennett and Richard Young; two brothers, Paul Strunk and Larry Strunk, and a sister, Carole Hipps. Family and friends are welcome to call on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Warren-Glenn Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 62 S. Main Street, Union City. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Union City Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, 2 Dowman Street, Union City with Pastor Tom Hunsberger, officiating.
