Edward A. Hubert, 70, of Liberty Steet, Meadville, passed away, Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Crawford County Care Center. He was born in Meadville on February 1, 1941 a son of John T. Hubert and Virginia M. Compton Hubert. He attended Randolph High School and was self-employed running his own lawn mowing and equipment repair service. He was of the Catholic faith and was a member on Saint Hippolyte Roman Catholic Church during his earlier years. Edward enjoyed watching nascar, wrestling, and truck pulls. He was a member of the Eagles Club, Italian Civic Club, and the Hunting and Fishing Club. He is survived by two brothers, John L. Hubert and his wife Dorothy of Franklin, PA and Jeffrey L. Hubert and his wife Beverly of Meadville, PA; one sister, Karen Yokes of Erie, PA; one aunt, Elizabeth Kightlinger of Meadville; a very dear friend, Maggie Gray of Meadville; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by both of his parents and two sisters; Mary Ralston and Cynthia Grinnell. Family and friends are welcome to call on Tuesday, October 25, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, October 26, at 10:00am at the funeral home with Father Mark O'Hern, pastor, of Saint Brigid Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Saint Hippolyte Cemetery, Frenchtown. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Jeffrey Hubert, 13739 Oakview Drive, Meadville, PA 16335.
