Edna C. (Dunlap) Kerr, 91, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on December 7, 2019 in her home. Born June 16, 1928 in Franklin, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert M. and Helen (Turk) Dunlap. She held various jobs, including working as an RSA for Polk Center. She did this until 1957, when she married Carlton H. Kerr, July 19, 1957.Edna endeavored to walk with God for 55 years. She was an active member of the Franklin Wesleyan Methodist Church, teaching Sunday School and serving on various church committees. Musically talented, she was also one of the song leaders. She sang with the Franklin Hospital Group for 20 years. Edna's grandchildren loved to hear their "Grammie" sing and play the guitar and ukulele. Edna loved her grandchildren dearly. Her exact quote was,“They are more precious than gold.”In August of 2012, due to health concerns, Edna and Carlton moved to Cincinnati to live with their daughter and son-in-law. After Carlton passed away in 2013, Edna felt blessed to be living with family and near her precious grandchildren.Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Paula Jean Farmer (Dr. Kenneth, Sr.) of Cincinnati, OH; her three grandchildren, Kenneth Ray Farmer, Jr. (Shelby) of Olathe, KS, Carlton Clayton Farmer (Jackie) of Cincinnati, OH, and Katrina Jean Farmer of Cincinnati, OH; two great-granddaughters, Hannah and Bekah; and nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents and husband, Edna was preceded in death by her five sisters, Margaret Gibbons, Maxine Colwell, Nova Oleszek, Agnes Cioppia, and Delores DeWoody; three brothers, Ronald, Harry, and Robert Dunlap.Family and friends will be received on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, PA 16323, from 11 am to 1 pm.Funeral services for Edna will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, December 14, 2019 beginning at 1 pm with the Reverend Jonathan Bell, pastor of the Franklin Wesleyan Methodist Church and Richard Price, former pastor of the same said church for many years, co-officiating.
