Earl R. Weigle, Sr., 92, of Meadville, passed away, Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 7, 1929 in Rockford, Illinois, a son of Robert Weigle and Katherine Selund Weigle.
He was employed for many years with West Mead Township.
Earl enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching westerns, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Bessie Heath of Townville; two daughters, Lisa McGrath and her husband, Tom of Linesville and Deborah Hall and her husband, James of Rock Hill, SC; a son, Earl Weigle, Jr. and his wife, Ala of Leonardtown, MD; step daughters, Barb Gray and her husband, Larry of Townville, and Nancy Wiley and her husband, Wayne fo Wisconsin; a step son in law, Rich Littlefield of Meadville; a special grandson, Billy Beach of Meadville; nineteen grandchildren; thirty-three great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and two brothers, Ed Bernard and his wife, Jane of Hydetown and John Brown and his wife, Barb of Hydetown.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Louann Rearick; a step daughter, Betty Littlefield; great grandchildren, Melanine Grace Rowland-Janetta and Connor Jess McGrath; two sisters, Dorothy Foultz and Sally Palio; and four brothers, Bob Weigle, Jim Weigle, Alan "George" Weigle, and Donnie Brown.
Family and friends are welcome to call on Sunday, July 11th from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Marshall Lillie, officiating.
Private burial will take place in Kingsley Cemetery, Townville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Earl's memory to Hospice of Crawford County, 766 Liberty Street, Meadville, Pennsylvania 16335.
