Dorothy Jean Gass, 85, of Meadville, passed away, Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Meadville Medical Center. She was born on June 20, 1928 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania a daughter of George Keeler and Mary Tinkle Keeler. She married Irvin R. Gass he preceded her in death on February 21, 1999.
She attended Meadville Area Senior High School and was employed by both Talon and later on by Seton Catholic School.
Dorothy was a member of Saint Agatha Roman Catholic Church.
She loved playing bingo.
Dorothy is survived by a daughter, Dianne Watkins and her husband Fred of Atlanta, Georgia; a son, Gary R. Gass of Townville; her grandchildren, Irvin and Michael Gass, Gary and Penny Gass, Suzanne Krumm, Paul Gass, and John Gabrish; numerous great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her loving husband she was preceded in death by a son, Irvin D. Gass on January 23, 1995; her parents; four sisters, Helen Mason, Alice Manual, Carol Neumyer, and Mary Ann Whittman; and a brother, George Keeler.
There will be no calling hours or services held at this time.
Burial will take place at Saint Agatha Cemetery, Meadville.
