Doris J. VanTassel

Doris J. VanTassel, 92, of Union City, passed away, Thursday, February 11, 2021 at UMPC Hamot. She was born on October 10, 1928 in Union City, a daughter of Stephen and Opal Bryant. She married Lewis W. VanTassel. He preceded her in death in 1996. She was employed with Sanner's Office Supply and was a member of First Assembly of God Church. Doris enjoyed bowling, bingo, going for rides in the country, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She is survived by two sons, Fred VanTassel and Randy VanTassel and his wife Cindy; a son in law, Richard Horvath; a sister in law, Lavanice Bryant; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her husband; she was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Stephen Bryant, Bill Bryant and his wife Joyce, and Earl Bryant and his wife Vicky; and a daughter, Shirley Horvath. Services will be private. Burial will take place in Riceville Cemetery, Centerville.
