Donna Lee (Shuffstall) Burk

At age 80 she passed away unexpectedly on March 10th 2026 with her sister by her side.

She was born June 24, 1945 to the late Lloyd Thomas Shuffstall and the late Vera Rose Burkhardt.

She was married July 27, 1963 to the late Leonard James Burk Sr, sharing over sixty years together.

She resided on Donation Hill all of her life, where she began working on the family farm. Throughout her life, she worked various jobs, and retired from Polk Center in 2005. After retirement, she enjoyed taking bus trips, a once in a lifetime trip to Australia, watching her swimming pool filled with the neighborhood kids, family get-togethers, and the many celebrations held at her homestead. Other activities she enjoyed were woodworking, playing cards, shopping trips, spending time with her puppies Ellsey, Tilly, and Bella, and her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

To many she was a second mother, always being there for the people she loved and often a shoulder to cry on. You all knew that she loved with all of her whole heart and cherished all of you.

She is survived by four children, Linda Wile of Cochranton, Leonard (Becky) Burk Jr of Cochranton, Lynea (Kevin) Carson of Tennessee, and Lorretta (David) Schrecengost of Cochranton; five grandchildren, Leigh (Joe) Martin of Tennessee, Cody (Ashley) Carson of Cochranton, Tyler (Tara) Schrecengost of Cochranton, Jesse (Jessica) Carson of Tennessee, and Derek Schrecengost of Brighton; along with two step grandchildren, Peter Dilley and Michael Dilley; and Twelve great grandchildren; She is also survived by a brother, Glenn and two sisters Rosalind (Fae) and Dorris, along with many nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse Leonard, an infant daughter Anne Marie, four brothers Cliff, Allen, Dearald, and Wallace, and two sisters Pearl Elizabeth and Iva Mae.

Arrangements are under the care of Gardinier-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. at 1315 Chestnut Street in Franklin PA. Visitation is from 11 am to 1 pm on Saturday March 14th with funeral services immediately following. Internment will be at Cooperstown Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Donna’s memory to the Yolanda G Barco Oncology Center at 16792 Conneaut Lake Road, Meadville PA 16335.
