Donna J. Long

Donna J. Long, 84, formerly of Victory Heights, passed away on January 10, 2019 at the Quality Life Services Nursing Home in Mercer, PA.Born on February 4, 1934 in Oil City, Donna was the daughter of the late Harry Glenn and Hazel (Hepler) Sigworth.She married the love of her life, David A. Long, Jr. on April 7, 1957; he preceded her in death in 2011.Donna spent most of her days working as a Tax Preparer for H & R Block.In her spare time, Donna was quite the artist. She was a member of the Spinning and Weavers of NW Pennsylvania, the Mercer Guild, and the Mercer and Butler spinning group. She also enjoyed painting and loved to explore yard sales. Donna also cherished her dog, Gypsy.Donna is survived by her sons, David A. Long, III of Franklin and Daniel G. Long, Sr. formerly of Franklin; her daughters, Diana S. Cotterman of New Brighton and Dixie R. Becker (John) of New Jersey; and her grandchildren, Daniel G. Long, Jr. (Darlene), Nicole Beach, David A. Long, IV, Jennifer Sue Long, Jaime Long, and Anna Becker.She is further survived by her great-grandchildren, Hayley Chess, Hope Rice (Leo), Autumn Beach, Bobbie Beach, Kaylee Long, and Shelby Long; her brother, Jessie Vogan; and her sisters, Patty Frank and Gloria Henton.In addition to her parents and husband, Donna was preceded in death by her brother, Gilbert Sigworth; her sisters, Esther Orr, Caroline Sigworth, and Sandy Ciko; and her son-in-law, Roger Cotterman.In accordance to Donna's wishes, visitation will be private and held at the convenience of the family.Interment will be held in Brandon Cemetery.To send cards, online condolences, or for further information, family and friends are invited to visit www.gardinierfuneralhome.com.
