Donald V. Geertson

Donald V. Geertson, 86, of Union City, went to be home with his Lord and Savior, Friday, January 1, 2021 at St. Vincent's Hospital. He was born on June 11, 1934 in Corry, Pennsylvania, a son of Donald M. and Gertrude Swift Geertson. He was married to Shirley June Bickerstaff for 40 years until her passing on March 5, 1994. He retired from Snap-Tite after 40 years of employment. He was a member of the Union City Christian and Missionary Alliance Church and former member of The Moose Club. Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and was an avid gun collector. He is survived by two daughters, Penny L. Bengel and her husband, Charlie of Union City, and Donna J. Webb of Corry; grandchildren, Ashley Ethridge of Anchorage, Alaska, and Nickie Powell and her husband, Tim of Corry; great-grandchild, Remington Craig Powell of Corry; a sister, Linda Rogers and her husband, Dave of Florida. In addition to his parents and wife, Shirley, he is preceded in death by his son in law, Craig Webb. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, all services are private. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery, Union City.
