Born in: Buffalo, New York
Resided in: Meadville, Pennsylvania

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Donald E. Williams, 74, who left us on November 29, 2025, at his home in Meadville, PA. Born on May 11, 1951, in Buffalo, NY, Donald was a familiar face in the Meadville community.

A proud graduate of Meadville Area High School in 1969, Donald spent an impressive 34 years as a store manager at Country Fair, followed by 12 years at Walmart. His commitment to his work was just one of the many ways he contributed to the community. Donald was also a life member of the Meadville Rescue Squad, where he held various leadership positions, including President, Vice President, and Treasurer. He loved watching his grandchildren compete in sporting events. In his downtime, he could be found soaking up the sun at the pool or on a fishing adventure.

Donald is survived by his loving family: his daughter, Angela M. Williams (Robert Devore) and his son, Donald E. Williams III (Molly) of Cranesville. He was a proud grandfather to Jack and Madeline Williams, and leaves behind four brothers: Bob (Debra) of Alabama, Tom (Alicia) of Cochranton, Jack of South Carolina, and Mark (Orpha) of South Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald H. Williams and Ruth E. Breisch Williams; an infant brother, Michael; and a niece, Kelly Williams.

At this time, there will be no formal services held. He will be laid to rest at Greendale Cemetery in Meadville.

In honor of Donald, we encourage those who wish to make a contribution to consider donating to St. Jude Hospitals for Children at www.stjude.org.

  1. I am so sorry to hear the passing of Don. I went to school with him – MASH CLASS OF 1969- and he was such a sweet and sincere person. This makes me so sad. I always saw him at Country Fair and Walmart and always took time to talk. Rest in Peace. Love, Shirley Costa Callan

    • To the FAMILY and FRIENDS SO SORRY TO HEAR THIS I’M PRAYING FOR YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY DURING THIS DIFFICULT TIME MAY GOD COMFORT AND STRENGTHEN EACH OF YOU. HE, WAS SUCH A GREAT GUY. GOD BLESS YOU ALL 🙏 ❤️

  2. I remember Don very well. He used to keep me and Tom on the straight and Narrow. Later in life met him at mickys and had lots of fun talking about the old days. My heart go’s out to family and friends. RIP DON you will be missed.

  3. So sorry to hear this news of Don’s passing. He was one of the neighborhood kids that revolved around Shadybrook Park back in the 60’s. When Don was managing The Country Fair he was actually my mom’s boss for many years. He was always a kind and professional gentleman. I will always remember him as having the most neatly combed hair among all us kids growing up in Meadville. Rest in Peace Don.

  4. Don, you made me feel as though I was truly part of your family. I don’t think I have ever heard you speak badly about anyone. You raised two wonderful children, Don who I have learned to greatly respect and your daughter Angela who I have come to love dearly which has been quite interesting considering I am just two years your junior. You have always been there for me when I needed a friend and I know you extended that friendship to many others. RIP my friend. I will sincerely miss you.

  5. Im so sorry for your loss Angela and all the family- i remember him at country fair and more recently summers spent relaxing at pool side.
    Praying for you all.
God keep your hearts together and comfort you.
