Don M. McNany, 77, of Franklin, passed away 2:05 pm, Monday, July 27th at Sugarcreek Station in Franklin.Born on October 4th, 1937 in Grove City, Don was the son of the late Harry and Phyllis Kingsley McNany. On June 11, 1960, Don married the former Zella Coast, who survives.Don was a graduate of Grove City High School. He was a printer for the Venango Newspapers for 31 years. Don was a member of the Rocky Grove Presbyterian Church, where he was a former trustee.In his spare time, Don enjoyed fishing and hunting. In particular, Don loved to hunt deer, duck and groundhogs. He was a life member of the Clinton Rod and Gun Club, NRA, and the Sandycreek Conservancy. He also enjoyed gardening and working in his yard. Mr. McNany loved his pet cat "Pansy".In addition to his wife, Don is survived by his son, Michael J. McNany, and his wife, Kelly, of Leesburg, GA; his daughter, Brenda L. Harting, and her husband, Eric, of Franklin; his sister, Linda Servey, of Anderson, South Carolina. He additionally is survived by his three grandchildren, Bernadette Harting of Franklin; and Abby & Bailey McNany of Leesburg, GA; and one great-granddaughter, Bella Mia O'Brien, of Franklin.Don was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Robert McNany.Family and friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc. with the Rev. Dennis Jones officiating.
