Daniel W. Borger, 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Tennessee. He was born September 15, 1941 in Cooperstown, PA to Maurice "Mort" and Dorothy (Brink) Borger. He was a Corporal in the PA State Police and retired after 29 years of service. He retired to Mesa, Arizona, and then to Crossville, Tennessee. He enjoyed times with family, hunting, golfing, Pittsburgh sports, renovating old homes and chocolate. He is survived by his wife, Hannah; his children, Mark Borger (Dawn) of Irwin, PA, Dana Borger (Judy) of Apex, NC, and Rebecca Hines (Bill) of Franklin, PA; his steps-sons Dwayne and Scott Craft; his sister, Wanda Corbett (Jack), and his brother, Rodney Borger (Bonnie).He is also survived by his 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.Family and friends of Daniel will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin PA on Saturday, January 26th from 9 - 11 a.m. at which time a Memorial Service will be held with his nephew, Rev. Jon Corbett, Associate Pastor, Hinton Lifeline Church, Hinton WV, officiating. The Franklin Elks will hold a service at 8:40 a.m. at the funeral home. Sorry for your loss Mark. Was thinking just the other day of our time as kids and our baseball days. They were some of the memories for sure. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
