Craig E. Leitzel, 61, of Meadville, passed away, Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Wesbury United Methodist Retirement Community. He was born January 13, 1950 in Sunbury, PA a son of Marvin Leitzel and Marlene Byerly. He was a high school graduate and attended Williamsport Community College. Craig loved his career and worked for the PA Department of Transportation as a mechanical draftsman, eighteen years at Textron as a Design Draftsman, and retired from Kuhn Tool and Die as a Design Engineer. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, watching football, and was a avid Boston Red Sox fan. Survivors include his parents Marvin Leitzel of Elizabethville, PA and Marlene Long and her husband Ned of Mandata, PA; his former wife, Nancy Leitzel of Meadville; a daughter, Adrienne Leitzel of Cambridge Springs; a son, Mark Leitzel of Meadville; a grandson, Trent Dailey; two sisters, Luann Wetzel and her husband Jeff of Herndon, PA and Cheryl Bordner and her husband Jeff of Mandata, PA; a brother, James Leitzel and his wife Tammy of Lewisburg, PA; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mark and Licinda Byerly. There will be a memorial service on Tuesday, October 11, at 1:00pm at Roofner-Collins-Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. with Pastor David Brumagin, Chaplin of Meadville Medical Center, officiating.
