My deepest sympathy to his wife and children. I had the pleasure of working closely with Dr. Lindemuth for many, many years at Metro (aka Doctors Osteopathic Hospital). He was fun loving and an excellent physician. May he Rest In Peace.
I was so sorry to see that Dr. Lindemuth passed away recently. He was my mentor, friend and colleague. I was a pharmacist at the hospital and then went to Medical School. I was his student, intern and colleague. When he worked at the VA I would talk with him off and I was a part time hospitalist at St Vincent we would talk about transferring patients occasionally. I thought he was an excellent physician and a good friend. I will miss him as I am sure many people, former patients and his family will. Sincerely. Craig T Johnston, D.O.
Jim and Marian Reim send their sincere condolences to you all. I remember your father as a good man.
Two stories:
I remember when he caught Tom and I smoking cigarettes as kids and called me stupid for throwing my burning cig into the window well of the house. He was right.
A better story is the time he helped the Kiwanis Club of Erie attend to a mother and 3 kids with respiratory problems and eye glasses with lens’s held in place with rubber bands. They were living in a house during winter and were using the oven for heat. Quite a desperate situation, but Dr. Lindemuth diagnosed them and got them medicine, the club got them some food, and the Lions got them proper glasses. This stands out as one of the most memorable acts of service I remember.
My heart goes out to Tom and all of his family members on their loss. My memories of Clayton were mainly the good times spent with him involving the Erie Panthers hockey team. Of course, his son, Tom and I worked together enjoying success with the team with much fun along the way. Please know that my thoughts and prayers will continue for all of you during this difficult time.
