Clarence E. Crawford, 78, of Guys Mills, lost his battle with life on Monday, December 3, 2018 at his home during the early hours of the morning.He was born on November 19, 1940 to Albertus W. and Mary E. (Williams) Crawford in Meadville.Clarence married the love of his life, Janet Tenney, on December 16, 1967; she survives him.Clarence was a truck driver at heart and worked for Kebert's as one for 56 years.In his spare time, he loved swimming, woodworking, and just generally being outdoors.In addition to his wife, Clarence is survived by his three sons, Chester Crawford and his wife, Robin, of Meadville, Ron Crawford and his partner, Lisa Shields, of Corsica, and James Crawford and his wife, Lynn, of Meadville; his four daughters, Barbara Smith and her partner, Larry Buford, of Meadville, Tammy Cotherman and her husband, Dan, of Guys Mills, Brenda Rossey and her husband, Norman, of Meadville, and Laurie Brawley and her husband, Bill, of Meadville; and his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.He is further survived by his three brothers, David Crawford and his wife, Barb, of Arkansas, Philip Crawford of Cherrytree, and Nate Crawford of Franklin; and his sister, Wanda Hefferman of Franklin.Clarence was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Kimberly Crawford; his grandson, Norman Rossey, Jr.; his granddaughter, Kimberly S. Peterson; his brother, Gilbert Crawford; his two sisters, Shirley Grove and Phyllis Boyles; his son-in-law, Walter Peterson, Jr.; and his two sisters-in-law, Sandra "Peach" Crawford and Phyllis Crawford.Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, PA 16323, from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc. at 11 am, with Reverend Sandra Jean Butler, pastor of the Harmonial Fellowship Church, officiating.Interment will be held at Franklin Cemetery.To send flowers, cards, online condolences, or for more information, family and friends are invited to visit www.gardinierfuneralhome.com.
