Christine A. Fitzsimmons

Christine A. Fitzsimmons, 72, of Meadville passed away on July 17, 2025 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Born on August 3, 1952 in Meadville, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Bernice (Stine) Collins.

She was a 1970 graduate of Meadville High School. After graduation, she married the love of her life, Allan E. Fitzsimmons on July 11, 1970.

For many years, she worked as an inspector for Greenleaf.

She was an animal lover and was proud of taking care of her grand dogs. She was an avid reader of a good book and would often be found on the back deck relaxing with a cocktail or two.

In her younger years, she and her husband of 55 years traveled the great United States and took in the sights along the way when they could. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Christine was a member of the auxiliary at VFW Post 2006, Meadville and the auxiliary at the American Legion Post #111, Meadville.

Along with her husband, Allan, of Cochranton, she is survived by her son Shawn A. Fitzsimmons of Conneautville; her grandson Brady S. Fitzsimmons and his wife, Trestan, of Cochranton; her brother Clifford Collins and his wife, Pam, of Alabama, her sisters-in-law Cheryl Ann Kralj of Meadville, Tamara Lyn Fitzsimmons of Meadville, and Wanda Collins of Cincinnati, OH; a brother-in-law Kenneth G. Fitzsimmons and his wife, Charlene, of Naples, FL; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Michelle Ackerman and John Collins; and a brother-in-law Steve Ackerman.

In following with Christine’s wishes, no public services will be observed and arrangements are under the care of the Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville, PA 16335.
