Born on April 14, 1942 in Rocky Grove, she was the daughter of the late Merle and Leone Umstead Gilmore.
On September 2, 1961, she married the love of her life, Charles O. Baughman and he survives.
Carolyn was a longtime member of the Grace United Methodist Church and was very active with the Oakhill Church of Franklin where she was the treasurer.
For many years, she worked for the Venango County Assistance Office and retired in 2003.
She was very proud of her family and enjoyed every moment she could with them. She loved history and watching her favorite baseball team, NY Yankees. She also enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys but baseball was a top priority. She would be found tending to her tomato plants and her beautiful flower garden.
Left to cherish Carolyn’s memories along with her husband is her daughter, Julie A. Reinsel and her husband, Daniel, of Franklin; her grandson Johnathan Reinsel of Franklin; and her nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her son, Bryan Lee Baughman; her brother James Gilmore; a nephew and several nieces.

Rest in Peace with our savior. Our prayers are with you all.
Huggs. Julie and family. Know Rick and I are here for you.
I enjoyed working with Carolyn at the welfare office through some very trying times. She was a class act and will be greatly missed. May God bless Charlie and their family. Cheri Henderson-Mentor OH
Carolyn was always so helpful and nice, but especially so when we had a yard sale before my mother’s move from Rocky Grove. It was so pleasant to speak with her recently even though she was suffering. The many Gilmores will miss her and we send our sympathy to her family.
Sorry for your loss.
My thoughts and prayers are with Charlie and her family.
We were very sorry to hear about the passing of your beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt. Although her passing will leave a void in your lives that will never be filled, we sincerely hope your happy memories will bring you a small measure of comfort and peace. Sending our love, thoughts, prayers, and deepest sympathy at this sad and difficult time…
