Carl "Sonny" Raymond Graves, Jr., 74, of Townville, passed away, Friday, July 29, 2016 at Meadville Medical Center. He was born on July 12, 1942 a son of Carl Raymond Graves, Sr. and Pearl Ina Morrison Graves. He married Sherri Jean Teed on January 1, 1962 she survives. He was a 1961 graduate of Townville High School and attended the Williamsport Technical Institute of Welding. Carl was a self-employed Logging Contractor, he owned and operated C.R. Graves Logging for 50 years. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler Fan and watched every western movie ever made. He was a Master Mason with Masonic Lodge #473 in Cambridge Springs and when he was younger he enjoyed hunting and fishing. In addition to his loving wife, Sherri; Carl is survived by two daughters, Merial M. Davis and her companion Karl Kalkberner of Townville and Diana P. Tarr and her husband Blaine of Greenville; a son, Gary L. Graves and his wife Lisa of Townville; nine grandchildren, Chad Graves-Burrows and his wife Jen, Lindsay Ann Graves, Ashley Turner and her husband Greg, Justin Graves and his wife Kristy, Nicholas Graves, Travis Riddle and his wife Jenny, Krista Riddle and her fiancé Chandler Holtzman, Brittany Tarr, and Tyler Tarr and his wife Alberta; ten great-grandchildren, Quinn Burrows, Annelise Burrows, Adalyn Turner, Gavin Turner, Kristen Graves, Jason Graves, Gage Riddle, Olivia Riddle, Nash Holtzman and Cameron Tarr; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Carl was preceded in death by his parents; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. with a luncheon to follow at the home of Sonny and Sherri. The Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 33353 N. Main Street, Townville, has been entrusted with the care of arrangements.
