Brenda Joy Steinbaugh, 75 of Waterford, formerly of Union City passed away peacefully January 22, 2026 at home. Born March 26, 1950 to the late Lois Johnson and Hugh Rockwell.

Brenda grew up in Bear Lake area and moved to Union City after meeting the love of her life Albert Steinbaugh whom she married September 24, 1966.

Brenda loved to travel, going to yard sales, shopping for a great deal and going to lunch, going to bingo and to the casino. Always up for a game of cards with family and friends. And complaining to her husband. She always loved family gatherings no matter how big or small.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Mother in law Alberta English. Her sister Linda Akam. 3 brothers Slugger Rockwell, Scott and Kim Johnson. A great grandson JJ. Brother and sister in law Keith and Florance Steinbaugh. And a very special Aunt Margie Huckabone.

Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 59 years, Al. Two daughters Tonia Steinbaugh, and Missy (Tom) Weilacher. One son Duke (Stacey) Steinbaugh 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. One Sister Wendy (Chris) Fisher. One brother Perry (Jen) Johnson. Three sister in laws Starre (Rab Sherman) Peterson, Hazel (Bill) Hayes, Mary (Dean) Richardson. Many nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Brenda retired from Pleasant Ridge after 33 years. And for the last 9 years she was a caregiver for her special needs grandson Traie.

Family and friends are welcome to call on Saturday, January 31st from 2:00pm til the time of the service at 4:00pm at Warren-Glenn Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 62 S. Main Street, Union City with Pastor Blair Blakeslee, officiating.

Brenda will be laid to rest in Mill Village Cemetery.

  1. Such a wonderful woman. She will be missed by all. Her light shone so brightly for all. Hugs and love to all of you.

  2. I’m so sadden of Brenda’s death. We worked at Pleasant Ridge Manor East. I last saw her at Wal-mart upper Peach St and we hugged and we’re so happy to see each other. She took pride in her work. I will miss running into her. Working with Brenda was always such fun because we did find time to laugh about something at work. Rest in Peace Brenda. My Prayers and Condolence to her family.
