So very sorry for the loss of your sweet mom. Prayers for comfort and sweet memories.
Betty J. Boughner, 75, of Cooperstown passed away on October 9, 2025 at UPMC Hamot, Erie.
Born in Sugarcreek Borough on February 26, 1950 she was the daughter of the late Nelson and Shirely (Rogers) Fox.
After graduating high school, she went to Oil City Beauty School to become a cosmetologist which she did for fun for friends and family.
On March 8, 1969, she married the love of her life, Richard “Dick” B. Boughner. He preceded her in death on July 13, 2023.
Through the years, Betty worked for numerous places like Printz and Virginia Morris clothing stores, Behr’s Plants, Sports World, and Jim’s Supermarket. She was a hard worker and was always on the go.
Betty enjoyed puzzle books, anything gardening related, and floating in the pool during the summer. She also enjoyed the company of the Cooperstown ladies while they played cards.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Missie Greenlee of Franklin; her sister Sandra Couch and her husband, Clyde also of Cooperstown; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law Rob Greenlee and her sister Donna Shultz.
A graveside service will be held for Betty at the Cooperstown Cemetery, 1790 Donation Hill Road, Cooperstown on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 2:00 pm with Curt Brenizer officiating.
