Bernice I. Rydbom

Bernice Irene Rydbom, 88, of Meadville, passed away, on March 13, 2021 at Wesbury United Methodist Community. She was born in Helvetia, Pennsylvania on April 19, 1932, a daughter of the late Walter and Agnes (Pitra) Baranoski.
She was the loving and devoted wife of Edwin Rydbom. Having a loving marriage of 56 years married on February 23, 1952. Edwin preceded her in death on May 11, 2008.
Bernice was a member of St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church, Alter Rosary Society, and was employed and retired as a teacher's aide with the Crawford County School District. She was a beloved and caring, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt to many nieces, nephews and a dear friend to many.
Survivors include three sons, Mark Rydbom, Paul Rydbom and fiancé Tammy Hamilton, and David Rydbom and family; grandson, Brian and Kimmi Rydbom; two great-grandchildren, Peighton and Maddison Rydbom; a special friend and caregiver, Denise Reese; and her sister, Josephine Krulia whom passed later on the same day as Bernice.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Ryan M. Warren Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 544 Chestnut Street, Meadville, Tuesday, March 16, 2021 from 10:00 am until the time of departure for a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Agatha Roman Catholic Church, 353 Pine Street, Meadville at 11:00 am with Father Jeffrey Lucas, pastor, as celebrant.
Bernice will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, Edwin at Saint Brigid Cemetery, Meadville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Bernice's memory may be made to Saint Agatha Roman Catholic Church or the Altar Rosary Society, 353 Pine Street, Meadville, PA 16335 or to the Blind Association, 312 Chestnut Street, Suite 103, Meadville, PA 16335.

Bernice was a special aunt to me.
When I was 13 I helped Bernice and Ed move into their first apartment (on Arch St.)
Bernice was my daughter, Tamara’s godmother.
