It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara Lee Turley, 75, of Wattsburg, who left us peacefully on September 26, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 23, 1949, in Union City, PA,
Barbara was the cherished daughter of George and Lois Hamilton Gerdy and graduated from Union City High School. She continued her education in Buffalo, New York at Bryant and Stratton College and also attended airline school in Pittsburgh. She was employed with MFG in Union City and was also employed with the Union City School District where she was in charge of pool maintenance.
On February 17, 1989, she married her beloved husband, Paul R. Turley, with whom she shared countless adventures. Together, Barbara and Paul enjoyed fishing on Lake Erie and riding their Honda Goldwing Motorcycle, often embarking on journeys that covered over 10,000 miles in a single summer. They also loved visiting historic places, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Barbara also enjoyed cooking, reading a good book, and moments spent with her loved ones.Barbara is survived by her husband Paul, her daughter Amanda Vislay and her companion Ryan Lange of Pittsburgh, PA, her brother Jeff Gerdy and his wife Alecia of Westfield, NY, along with several nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Christopher Paul Turley, and her brother Larry Gerdy.There will be an hour of calling on Tuesday, September 30th from 10:00am to 11:00am at Warren-Glenn Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 62 S. Main Street, Union City. The funeral service will follow at 11:00am with Pastor Terry Brown, officiating.
Burial will take place at Wattsburg Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Barbara’s memory to Union City John Krol VFW Post # 6773, 23 E. High Street, Union City, PA 16438
