Barbara J. Snyder

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara J. Snyder, age 96, who peacefully left us on January 20, 2026, at her home in Meadville, surrounded by her loving family.Barbara was born on December 13, 1929, in Titusville, Pennsylvania, to Harold T. Buser and Sara J. Madden Buser. She shared a lifetime of love and companionship with her husband, Bernard A. Snyder, whom she married on July 21, 1956. Together, they built a beautiful family and cherished many wonderful memories.

Barbara dedicated a significant portion of her life to working at Meadville Medical Center in housekeeping, later retiring from Channellock, Inc., where she was known for her strong work ethic and friendly demeanor. She was also a devoted member of the Epiphany of the Lord Parish, where she found a sense of community and belonging.

Barbara leaves behind her three beloved children: Bernard E. Snyder of Erie, Alice J. Snyder, and David M. Snyder, both of Meadville. She also has many nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her warmth and kindness.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard; her parents; a brother, Richard L. Buser; sister in law, Geraldine Buser; and an infant brother, Donald J. Buser.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 23rd at 10:00 am the Epiphany of the Lord Parish, Saint Agatha, 353 Pine Street, Meadville with Father Jeffrey Lucas, as celebrant.

Burial will take place in Saint Agatha Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Barbara’s memory to the Epiphany of the Lord Parish, 353 Pine Street, Meadville, Pennsylvania 16335 or a charity of the donor’s choice.
