We are friends from TARPON SPRINGS FL they was our best neighbors. Wonderful people. ART LOVES TO GO FISHING.HE IS IN THE RIGHT PLACE NOW. WE ARE IN THE FAMILY’S HEART.LOVE VIRGINIA AND CATHY.
I grew up on 15th Street where Art raised his family, and spent alot of time at his house with Karen. He and Lois were always the best people. Art was truly a character, and just a good man. They just aren’t making them like that any more. Our neighborhood was a great place to grow up. The adults all looked out for us kids, whether we liked it or not. They are all about gone now, and they will be truly missed, not least of which is Art. He was one of the good ones.
Uncle Art was such a good guy and I have so many memories of him as a child. RIP and I am so happy for you that you are with “The Queen, your parents and all of your siblings!!
Art was a wonderful friend whom we met over 30 years ago at VacatonLand Campground. He will be greatly missed. May God’s peace and comfort be with his family at this difficult time. Cliff and Bev Dixon, Lot #211(8-1).
Danny Dunlap and I have been best friends for over 60 years. I remember one Friday night myself (Jeb) and Buzzy stayed overnight with Danny. Art came home from work and upon entering the front door he had to step over a bunch of shoes. He asked Lois who did these shoes belong to. Lois told Art Danny had a couple of friends overnight. To get the humor of this story Jeb and Buzzy are black kids. So Art goes upstairs and peeks in Dannys room and sees Danny sleeping in the middle of Jeb and Buzzy. Art goes downstairs and says to Lois, looked in the bedroom and it looks like an Oreo Cookie in the bed. LOL that’s Art humor!😃
Dear Danny and family,
Although I didn’t know your dad, I can imagine the kind of man he was from the kind and caring son he raised. It’s so hard to lose our parents. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all now and as you move through the days ahead. Wishing you comfort from Jesus
