Arlo D. Heller, 78, of 104 Cedar Street, Franklin died on October 23, 2012 at UPMC-Northwest, Seneca. Born October 05, 1934 in Rocky Grove, PA, Arlo was the son of the late Paul and Mildred (Cornelius) Heller. He was married to Shirley M. Patton on April 13, 1961, who survives. He was a member of the US Army serving during the Korean War era. Arlo was the owner and operator of Arlo's Pizza on Liberty Street in Franklin and Heller's Auto Body. He was a 13 year employee of the Allen Manufacturing Company in CT. He worked as a delivery man/sales man for Lance Snacks, and Baker Auto Parts. He also worked for the CPT, and at various local restaurants. Arlo attended the Sugarcreek United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting. In addition to his wife, Arlo is survived by his sons; Richard L. Johnston and wife Linda of South Windsor, CT, Dennis C. Heller and his wife Susan of Windsor, PA, his daughter, Barbara J. Barber of E. Hartford, CT. His brothers; Harold D. Heller and wife Shirley L. of Franklin and Donald E. Heller and wife Murdeane of Oil City, and his sister Kay Coleman of Erie. He is additionally survived by his grandchildren; Richard D. Johnston of Mesa, AZ, Jennifer J. Hjulstrom of Ellington, CT, Dale C. Heller of York, PA, Ryan K. Heller of Windsor, PA, Ronald Barber Jr. of W. Warick, RI, and Brittany M. Barber of E. Hartford, PA. In addition to his parents Arlo was preceded in death by his brothers; Clarence and Kenneth Heller, and his sister Janice Ververka. Family and friends of Arlo will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, on Friday, October 26 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday October 27 from 10 to 11 a.m.. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 27 at 11 a.m. at the Funeral Home, with Rev. Alice Parker pastor of the Sugarcreek United Methodist Church, officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard. Interment will be in Lupher Chapel. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Sugarcreek United Methodist Church Building Fund, 443 Sugarcreek Drive, Franklin, PA 16323.
