  1. Scott to you and the entire Earll family I am truly sorry for your loss. Your father was a true American Hero. I hope you are able to find peace in this dark hour.
    My Deepest Condolences,
    Chris Keller and family

  2. I always will remember listening to my brother and Arden discussing adventures on Nash Hill that I am sure never happened. Last delivery to Shirley has been completed. RIP Arden.
    Mike Mercer his friend.

  3. Arden was our mailman. When I was a preschooler, I would wait for him to bring our mail. He was such a nice man.

  4. Rest In Peace, Arden; Rest In Peace. 🙏

I got to know Arden through my spouse Ellen Joyce Mathewson Howell and he (and when Shirley was still alive, both he and she) attended the Howard-Jenness-Mathewson-Family reunions, usually held on July 4th or thereabouts. I listened intently to his descriptions of his time in the military and of that fateful day in the invasion on the beaches of Normandy in June, 1944.

Rightfully so, Arden was proud to have served. And I am proud, even if it was just for a short time, to know him.

Thank you, Arden, for your service to our country. You will always be remembered with fondness and love.

  5. Condolences to the Earll family. Arden was a great man. I work in the dietary department of the Manor. He always brought a smile to our faces. I loved listening to him tell his stories. And while Shirley was alive, he was so thoughtful and attentive. He was always so kind to the other residents. During this lockdown, he always sent us notes thanking us and wishing us well. He couldn’t wait until we could all get together in the dining room. I will miss him so much.

  6. I will always treasure my memories of spending time with the Earll family when in grade school. After moving to South Carolina I was so surprised that they would look me up to stop in just to say Hi. Condolences to Mr. Earll’s family.
